God has created so much beauty in this world, and I try to capture it the best I can. I love the sky and He paints it so beautifully. I have a lot of photos that capture it, but many times, I just sit and stare at it! I feel blessed that God has given me a gift of being able to see the world through a lens, and I hope that passion translates through into my work.

Kevin Aker is a South Dakota based artist that specializes in nature, landscape, & wildlife photography. Lightning and weather photography are some of his favorite subjects, but bison and other wildlife are high on his list of favorites!
Kevin's dream job would be to travel the world taking photos! This is likely every photographer's dream; however like many others Kevin has a day job and does his photography on the side. Developing a passion for photography while in high school, Kevin later attended Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming earning a degree in Photography in 2002. He married his wife Becki on New Year's Eve 2007 and they have two wonderful boys, Brody & Eli.
Kevin takes his wife, his boys and his faithful dog out chasing the captivating sky! Weather has always been a fascination for Kevin and he loves to try and capture its beauty. Kevin has been taking lightning photos for close to 20 years now, and these have become some of his most popular photographs.?
